Wangshi Group Profile

 Wangshi Group, a renowned enterprise in China, was founded in Ziyang City, Sichuan Province in 1984. It expanded nationwide in 1992 and has since grown into a large-scale private enterprise with diverse industrial chains, including health products, pharmaceuticals, real estate, tourism, electronic machinery, and cultural development. Key apiculture subsidiaries include Sichuan Pengshan Wangshi Animal Health and Jiangxi Wangshi Bee Garden.

  Sichuan Pengshan Wangshi Animal Health Co., Ltd. focuses on R&D and sales of bee medicines. In 1984, Wang Youjin and partners founded Ziyang Joint Apiary, later renamed Ziyang Apiculture Company (1987) and Ziyang Bee Medicines Factory (1989). The factory introduced workshop-style production and invented Wangshi Manpu, a new mite killer using wood chip as a carrier, solving a major problem in Apis mellifera ligustica beekeeping. Wangshi Manpu reduced reliance on high-toxic pesticides, decreased poisoning incidents, and eased the challenges of beekeeping.

 Wangshi Manpu sold well nationwide and was praised by beekeepers. On the black market, its price surged tenfold due to marketing hype, yet it remained scarce. The API "Tau-Fluvalinate" was originally produced by Switzerland, with Japanese agents handling bee medicines in Asia. However, Wangshi Manpu's entry into the market led to a decline in demand for Japanese bee medicines due to their higher prices. Consequently, Japanese agents and Swiss manufacturers collaborated to block Wangshi Manpu on the international market. Initially, the factory bypassed this blockade by importing API from Germany, but later faced stricter restrictions, making imports impossible. In response, Ziyang Bee Medicines Factory leaders resolved to challenge the international monopoly and cooperated with domestic universities and research institutes to develop the synthetic API Tau-Fluvalinate.
